| Xanga has lately been on the bottom of my priority list. Too much craziness going on! I'm going to let my site hibernate awhile, then maybe pick things back up when summer gets slower and it's too hot outside. Until then, enjoy each beautiful day and never forget who made it so! -Elise | | |
| Tonight, I went and performed for my voice teacher's college class. The theme was Broadway and she had me do Oklahoma's Oh What a Beautiful Mornin', and The Sound of Music's I am Sixteen Going on Seventeen and..... The Sound of Music. Twas' pretty fun. However, I didn't like the way it was set up. She had me stand barely a few feet away from the front row.... which is the equivalent to being under a microscope. For some reason, I have no idea why, but I always feel better farther away from the audience (on stage) and with larger crowds. Maybe it's easier for me to focus or something. I didn't do bad or anything, I just decided to point that out for no particular reason. How do you perform best? | | |
| I practically drove ALL day long!!! At 11:00 this morning, I took the girls to a hair appointment, went to Walmart, took Gabby to guitar lessons, picked Gabby up from guitar lessons, drove to Jacksbouro and back (over an hour roundtrip), drove to Greenwood to teach four piano students (one hour roundtrip).... and finally walked in the door at 9:00 pm!!! To make the day more interesting, it just so happened that on my way home from Jackbouro, about a mile and a half from my house, I got a flat tire!!! So, my dad, bless his heart, had to ride his bike down to change it. I rode the bike home.... and I don't recommend ever wearing flip flops for the task!! Anyways, despite this hectic day, God remained faithful and wonderful amidst it all... helping me to laugh off my troubles instead of getting stressed out! | | |
| I think it's time to have a "scale burning ceremony"!!! Something is most definatley wrong with ours! Yesterday, I weighed 119.5......... this morning, it read 122.... then this afternoon, 124!!! It has brought me to the conslusion that something is most definatley wrong..... or else those apples were made of lead! Consequently, I currently have no idea what I weigh. Lol.... not that I really care.... the purpose of this post is to express my displeasure with anything manufactured in China!!! | | |
